My friend Tracy, of Fleur de Lis blog, posted some pictures up of an amazing moth, the Altas Moth, for us to enjoy.
We had to go and expand our education, as we'll never encounter those Moths where we live :)
Some Atlas Moth facts.
ETA: Forgot to add the correct clip for the Atlas Moth, now above ;)
Thanks Tracy for noting that!!!
The clip below is not of an Atlas Moth (I linked the wrong one...grin n blush), but it is so beautiful and amazing that I'll leave it here anyway.
Dd and I just watched your video, and kept saying it didn't look like the Atlas Moth..aka Attacus Atlas...but, WOW! was that video super-super interesting!!!! Wow! I had to keep backing up and re-watching parts! Thanks so much for that! So glad we have another family that is as interested in buggies as we are! I meant to link some facts about the Atlas Moth on my post, but things got so busy I didn't get back to it. Would it be okay to link your blog again? Thanks again for such a delightful video---I'm stuck in "WOW" right now! Hugs and much love to you! TTFN!
We were just as captivated by that beautiful creature! It left us feeling awed at God's handiwork!! Yes, totally, ...perfectly fine to link our blog :)
praying for you each day!!
Forgot to add, initially, in the post that it is NOT an Atlas Moth... but we thought it was so amazingly beautiful we added it to the post; however, I couldn't find the common name for the Brahmaea Tancrei moth??
It is amazing how different the two video's are--how different the moths are! My favorite moth is the Luna moth--but, I haven't seen any in Michigan...yet! Thanks for the new video, Dd and I really enjoyed it!
We're a little interested in moths here, especially BIG ones!
Glad you enjoyed the 'proper' clip too ;)
