Critters ~ March 2014

I thought I'd best keep the pets and the critter pictures separate ☺
We're still trying to work out exactly what this spider is (??)

Lunch?
The first monarch had not long emerged from her chrysalis, and the male was right there.
Fully dried.  New life on our dying swan plant.

Looking at the top spider, it reminds me of this one. My sister found one in her backyard in Hawke's Bay a couple of weeks ago.

your link took me to a post about the Australian Grey House Spider (?)
It may well be..... (see this picture: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/16631099 )
but our specimen had a very boxy tail.
